Executive Summary

The development of B’Rite is intended to serve as a conduit to help other individuals with autism and sensory processing differences like my son. Braxton was diagnosed at the age of 3 after undergoing a series of test targeting speech, neurology, and auditory impairments.
Although we were shattered by his diagnosis, my only real objective was getting him the help that he needed to become successful within his capabilities. As a mental health professional, I was proficient in understanding the importance of early intervention, so I immediately started looking into ABA programs to help provide specialized instruction that was geared to his needs.
Today, at the age of 8, Braxton enjoys reading (as he is believed to be hyperlexic) music, animals, and technology. Braxton has progressed from being completely nonverbal to being able to communicate his needs by using one word and short phrases. Braxton has a wonderful team of therapist and educators and I strongly believe that he will do great things.
